Pros

Fun projects (if you are in the right group)

Multiple activities (sometimes hard to get to go because people just work all the time)

Standard benefits

Cons

Coworkers have assumed the Amazon way without collaboration and have blamed others when possible.

There is a lot of politics and preference in projects.

As part of some teams, you don’t even get to play with the cool tools that AWS sells.

Management does not take feedback from developers seriously as they do from other managers.

Advice to Management

If one engineer complains, and then another, and another, maybe there is something wrong with management and not the first engineer that complained.

There should be a way for developers to have their voices heard and taken seriously.
