Pros

Work on high-impact features that affect millions of people. Work on products that make news headlines, and your family and friends use. Good pay and RSUs. Fast pace and lots of knowledgeable coworkers. Culture of customer obsession.

Cons
  • Sometimes it can be stressful.
  • The promo process is too rigid and doesn't allow for internal career advancement well.
  • Working on frontend can involve a lot of legacy code and red tape.
Advice to Management

Management needs to take more ownership. They'll often like to "loosely hold strong opinions". AKA insist on specific tech designs, then change their mind last minute and let the team get all the heat for missing deadlines, or having a bad design.
