I was able to work at numerous different technologies and languages in which I had zero prior experience.
The tools to find solutions for your problems are easy to interact with. There's tons of documentation for everything, and code for all services in Amazon is available for you to look at and take examples from.
Interactions with my mentors were amazing. I got feedback at least twice every week, and it helped me work on improvements.
The compensation for the internship role in SysDev is not as good as an SDE intern, even though the kind of work you do is almost the same. However, the full-time roles are compensated fairly.
This may be isolated to me, but I did put in quite a few extra hours every day. Not because I was expected to, but because I wanted to impress, and everyone around me in the team also worked really hard.
