I was an internal referral, so I bypassed HR quickly. After that, there were four phone interviews, all one-on-one.
There was no on-site interview, mainly because my university was too far from the site, and at the time, that wasn't very possible.
The first phone interview was with a senior director. It took one hour and was basically to evaluate me as a person and get to know my background and related topics.
Three more phone interviews followed, each lasting around half an hour. These were more focused on my technical background and skills.
