I was interviewed for a software position for a summer internship. I had three phone interviews.
The first one was with the manager. He gave a brief description of the position and the work, and asked some behavioral questions. After a couple of days, I received an email from him stating that I had passed his screening. He then asked me to schedule interviews with two other team members.
The interviews with the team members were purely technical. I was asked to code in a shared document. They tested my knowledge of bitwise manipulations and assembly language. Although I didn't know the exact mnemonics, the interviewer said he would look at the logic, not the specific instructions.
The interviews were not very difficult; they were easy enough if you know some details of C and computer architecture. I didn't have any onsite interview, perhaps because it was an intern position.
There was a question about bit manipulations in C. I don't remember it exactly.
