It's a tough, fast-paced working environment and a great learning experience. My first job out of university, I definitely gained an immense amount of experience. This is because I lucked out and got into a tough team with a tough OEM.
Working overtime is the norm. Personally, as a salary-based contractor, I feel like I'm the one losing out. I'm definitely not being compensated for my time.
