Great place with great products, especially graphics. Get hired into the right group
They are a market leader, so you feel proud to be a part of a team making great products. Their graphics products are top-notch.
Not forward-thinking enough (at least in my department).
They used outdated technology and were always applying band-aid solutions to existing problems repeatedly. We spent more time cleaning up after our own poor quick fixes than working ahead to buy us time to catch our breath and rethink some processes.
Keep up on the latest trends and technologies and use forward-thinking and vision to plan for the integration of these technologies into the workflow.
It adds a little bit of risk, but it's well worth it, as the productivity and the sense that everyone is not wasting their time due to a crappy process or something which should be fixed but is out of their control.
