The industry has been shaky and underpays engineers.
The new USAirways management is very military-like, with decisions made at the upper levels without getting input from the 'experts' doing the work. This leads to less-than-optimum decisions at times and is making the people feel like clerical help carrying out the tasks they are told to do.
