Pros

3.5 due to company culture. The company is putting a lot of effort into DEI and employee psychological safety.

Cons

Growth for Level-4 is a real issue and bottleneck. In-place promotions are extinct despite stellar performance reviews, and you are being asked to look around or hop different groups for any open L-5 openings (for which many times, the candidate is already decided). This is not something you would want to see when management talks about care, company culture, and psychological safety.

Advice to Management

Work on in-place promotions for IT. Look into salary adjustments according to the market.

Both of these items will lead to more skilled folks leaving and looking outside for growth and extra $ due to inflation.
