Pros

Decent full-stack experience in an enterprise environment. Good for a first job, but there is no reason to ever stay more than two years, no matter what a manager tells you.

Cons

Low pay; annual raises are well below inflation.

Bad leadership focused on outsourcing.

Management will lie to you about opportunities to keep you working.

Company leadership fundamentally does not believe in itself.

Misuse, low focus, and misguidance of developers.

Company was bailed out twice and then outsources work while being entirely staffed by H1Bs. Generally low moral character among middle and upper management.

Advice to Management

Management is not open to advice and has whatever its own goals are. There is no sense that they care for their American workers. They continued contracts with Cognizant, a company known for fraud. There is likely fraud within American Airlines's own hiring practices.
