Primarily the worst are the cliques that always seem to roam. If you’re not in one or liked by one, you can be sure that you’ll be dropped from American’s ranks, even if you’ve been there for years and have never done one thing wrong.
Clear the cliques and rank people based on their work instead of hearsay from those senior managers in those cliques.
