Quality Engineer Interview Experience

Process

Here's a rundown of the process:

  • Round 1: 30 minutes with the team lead.
  • Round 2: Technical round with the team.
  • Round 3: Interview with the manager/director.
  • Round 4: As-needed, if they want to ask a few more questions that they didn't get to in previous rounds.

American Express recruiters are terrible. They don't answer questions and are horrible at getting back to you on time. For example, after my first round, they didn't get back to me until two months later for the second round. Any questions you ask them will be ignored.

The interview itself felt very one-sided. As one person described it, the interview felt like an interrogation more than an interview. It could just be the team I interviewed with, but no one seemed happy to work there.

Also, they make you use the horrendous Cisco Webex software, which has terrible connection problems compared to Zoom or Teams.
