Pros

Mission is motivating, with a direct impact to troops and allies.

Lots of talented engineers at the beginning (~2022/2023).

Pay is competitive and options/RSUs were great, however, the stock gravy train is gone.

Cons

External leadership hires that never worked in their respective fields.

Recognition is hard to come by unless you are truly part of the club.

Programs with real contracts outweigh performance on work done vs hard work with real impact on new, innovative programs.

Starting to operate like a prime.

The bar is set low for new hires.

Too many automotive and non relevant field leaders with no military experience; solar energy doesn't translate to defense.

Advice to Management

Do not hire leadership candidates who have little to no experience in those same fields.
