Pros

The benefits are great.

Lots of free food. Interesting projects.

Cons

Over-politicized work environment. Lack of accountability. Annual raises are negligible. Sick time is accrual-based for hourly employees. Low PTO for hourly employees with no way to accrue more.

Advice to Management

Ease up on hiring middle management. It's gotten to the point where it often seems like there are more managers than people doing actual work.

Senior engineers and management are rarely held accountable for deliverables, in my experience across multiple programs.

Leaving all hourly employees with no sick time coming out of Christmas break, with almost no notice, was one of the biggest failures of leadership I've seen in my entire career. I could not have imagined a worse way to handle it.
