A recruiter reached out to me and, after a good conversation, set up a technical (coding) interview.
When the coding interview started, the first thing that struck me was that the task assigned had nothing to do with the role. Despite this, I successfully completed the task in the time allotted.
However, I was sent an automated email stating that I was declined. It was obvious it was an automated email since it talked about "reapplying in the future" and "good luck on my current search"... except I didn't apply nor was I actively searching. The recruiter had reached out to me.
