The interview process consisted of three stages: an initial interview, a home assignment, and an onsite interview. There were also some conversations with HR in between.
It was an interesting and quite different experience. The questions were engaging, and the interviewers were able to follow up on what was discussed beforehand.
However, it was quite one-sided. I didn't have much chance to talk about what I could do or ask questions. Most of the interview involved answering generic questions not directly relevant to the position.
I quite enjoyed the experience nevertheless, until after the onsite interview when communication with Apple ceased. I then had to start chasing them. Each time I managed to talk to the Talent Acquisition specialist, I was told they hadn't decided yet.
It took about a month to learn that I was rejected for the position.
Overall, the time investment for this interview was very large compared to elsewhere for a similar role. I wouldn't really want to go through this again.
