Process

Applied through employee referral and spoke with the recruiter on the phone.

There was one technical phone screen with a senior engineer on the team.

I had to complete a 3-problem take-home test over the weekend.

After that, I was invited to go on-site for a 6-hour interview process. The technical interview topics included:

  • Probability
  • Estimation theory
  • Circuit theory
  • Signal processing
  • System design
  • Adaptive filters
  • Prototype testing
  • Firmware C programming
  • C memory management

They informed me that the initial feedback was positive, but it took them three weeks to eventually reject my application.

While it was disappointing, the overall experience was positive and educational. Apple knows how to be professional.
