I was called by a Project Manager (while I was at the airport...), and we set up an interview.
He first described the offer and what he was doing. He then asked the ultimate question: "Tell me more about yourself." I used my resumé as a guideline. I stopped when I had something more to say, like a specific project.
At the end, he said, "Do you know this technology XXXXX?" Since I didn't, I asked to know more. I then explained how I could use my current skills to learn about this technology.
I finally stated what my deadlines were (it was for an internship).
Do you know about this technology XXXX?
