iOS Engineer Interview Experience - Sunnyvale, California

Process

One of the best interviews I've ever had.

We were both pretty confident I did not have the experience required for this job within the first 15 minutes. He kept interviewing me anyway, letting me know where I went wrong and giving me great feedback.

He also provided positive reinforcement, saying that it is possible for someone in my position to obtain this kind of position in the next year or so.

Best technical interview I've ever had.

Pros: Apple is a place which fosters innovation, excellence, and teases out the very best of what you can do. I was regularly inspired by the work, and also the people, who helped enable me to do my best work. The amenities and mentorship were stellar; access to quality work was abundant.

Cons: Apple's engineering contracts can be restrictive about work done outside of the company in your own time. This can hurt individuals who want to pursue side hustles or side projects.
