Mechanical Engineer Interview Experience - Cupertino, California

November 1, 2009
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The process took about a month.

The first interview was with the HR Recruiter, and the second interview was flown to Cupertino.

Apple seems more interested in a "worker bee" mentality and engineers with MS and PhD degrees than in the level of experience.

Questions

What is the moment of deflection of a cantilever beam?

(Had to remember the equation.)

Keep in mind I had been out of college for about five years. Odd for this type of interview.
