Apple Work Experiences
- 2.0Politics and fake workSenior Software Engineer • Current EmployeeCupertino, California, United StatesOctober 29, 2024Pros: Work-life balance and benefitsCons: Incompetent management. Fake work. Politics.
- 3.0Apple, a love-hate place to workSenior Software Engineer • Current EmployeeCupertino, California, United StatesJune 17, 2008Pros: Get to work on technology that is used by so many people. It's a very exciting place to work. The Steve Jobs keynote presentations are as close to 'rock star' as an engineer is ever going to get.Cons: The company does not encourage innovation from within. If an idea doesn't come from Steve Jobs, it's not worth looking into. Vacation is weak. You start with 12 days of time off, with a week shutdown at Christmas. You must be there for three years before you begin to accrue 15 days of vacation a year. For a company that is basically printing money in Cupertino and making a ton of profit, the fact that there is no profit sharing is a very glaring flaw.
- 2.0No free foodSenior Software Engineer • Current EmployeeCupertino, California, United StatesSeptember 27, 2022Pros: Bikes are nice. The bus is nice. The park is nice.Cons: No free food. Why is this?
