Process

How I got the interview:

  • Through LinkedIn, I received a message from a recruiter about a job conference in my area.
  • I attended the conference, where they conducted simple interviews (two per candidate).
  • Although I was not well-prepared, I passed the first short interview but did poorly in the second.
  • A week later, they contacted me to schedule a phone interview. They called 30 minutes before the scheduled time, but I was driving, so it was cancelled.
  • Two days later, I received another call for a full-day onsite interview scheduled for two weeks out.
  • The onsite interview consisted of nine interviews with two different teams. Each interview was 45 minutes long, including one with an HR representative during lunchtime.
  • After the fourth interview, the recruiter who had contacted me approached me before lunch and said I was doing very well. The first team wanted to hire me as soon as possible.
  • I finished all the interviews. After I left, the recruiter contacted me 30 minutes later to say he would be sending me the offer that day.
  • Unfortunately, I had visa issues (no H1B sponsorship). They decided they could not sponsor an H1B for me because they wanted to hire someone as soon as possible, so they cancelled the offer.
