I was contacted by a recruiter. The process started with a coding test screening, followed by a phone coding interview.
The screening test consisted of a few very simple questions with a one-hour time limit. After that, the recruiter scheduled a phone interview using CoderPad.
During the interview, I was asked to write an algorithm and then begin by discussing its correctness, providing a rigorous proof for each line of code. The interviewers showed little respect, attempting to pressurize me by challenging my proofs and asking trivial questions when I sought to justify each step in the algorithm.
A particularly toxic aspect, in my opinion, was their attempt to embarrass or intimidate me by making fun of my statements. They would recap what I said in a humorous tone and question if I even understood my own words, which I found quite toxic.
