Process

Had a first interview with an Engineering Manager. It went great and we discussed my experience.

Next, I went to the onsite interview, which included:

  • One system design interview. It was easy, and I came prepared with a counter-idea.
  • One frontend interview. It was very frontend-specific, and I didn't revise my preparation for that.
  • One coding interview. It involved a default algorithm that you never use in practice.
  • One behavioral interview and a discussion on some principles.

After a week, I sent a follow-up and received no answer.

Another week later, I sent a second follow-up and was denied without any explanation. This outcome was the opposite of what I had expected.

Questions

  • Design a system to send a message from A to B with some follow-up challenges.
  • Ask some frontend specific behavioral questions on JS functionality.
  • Include a few easy algorithms, including Fibonacci.
