Process

Very bad experience with Engineering Director

  • Received a call from a recruiter and had a pleasant conversation.
  • Spoke with the hiring manager, who was a very nice person.
  • Received an invitation for an on-site interview and performed very well.
  • Got very positive feedback from all interviewers.
  • Had another phone interview with the director, who asked many questions for over an hour.
  • Another on-site interview lasting over an hour with the director.

After all of this, I received a rejection. They didn't state the exact reason, but I know it was the director's decision. They didn't seem to value the opinions of other engineers. Poor management. Bureaucracy is the word I would use for Apple. It was very sad to see, and I was deeply disappointed by how I was treated.
