The worst company to apply for. It's totally based on luck. I have given interviews in 3 teams: Maps, iCloud, and Siri.
Let me explain each process.
For Siri: The first round was an HR Round, and I did well. Then came a HackerRank CoderPad phone screen, which also went really well. I executed the code and passed all the test cases. Today, it's been 3 months, and despite sending lots of thank you emails, there's been no response. No "yes" or "no." Their management is the worst, specifically the recruiters. Honestly, they do not care about or know anything about any candidate.
For Maps: I was given an HR interview, which I cleared. Then I had a 1st technical screen, which I cleared. The 2nd technical screen went really well. I answered a LeetCode hard question properly, executed, and cleared all test cases on HackerRank CodePair. The interview was rescheduled several times because the interviewers never called. After 3 weeks, they called me saying they wanted someone with 7+ years of experience. Are you stupid? I clearly asked them to see the resume first before allowing me for an interview. She said the interview gave a positive response, but the hiring manager needed a candidate with more experience. This is completely stupid. I feel the hiring manager should see the resume first before allowing a candidate for the interview.
For iCloud: I cleared all the rounds. It's now the 4th week, and I am waiting for confirmation for onsite interviews. This team was good, and I had a great talk with the interviewers. Interviews were rescheduled from their side about 4 times. There was NO RESPONSE.
I suggest that even if you get a call from Apple, never get happy. Please be ready to waste your time. Even if you do your best, they won't reply to you ever. If you are a female engineer, do not apply and say no when a recruiter calls you for an interview.
Very easy questions, which even a child can crack.
