Process

I secured an interview by speaking with recruiters at a hackathon. I discussed my past projects and my Objective-C/Swift experience.

My first-round interview was a phone interview focused on data structure questions. There was no coding, but I was asked to design data structures and answer some basic Objective-C questions.

My final-round interview was also a phone interview, this time with the head of the team I would work under. These questions were more detailed and focused on Objective-C.

After this interview, considerable emphasis was placed on my portfolio and past projects, which I believe significantly helped me secure the position!

Questions

How would you design a data structure that is an array, but with so many elements such that the array almost fills up the entire RAM?

How does delegation work?

How does ARC work in Objective-C, and how is it different from garbage collection?

What is the difference between strong and weak pointers?

Was this helpful?
