Software QA Interview Experience - United States

Process

I was contacted by a recruiter, and then I had two phone interviews. The interviews were heavily loaded with coding, and they seemed like developer interviews.

One needs to be perfect. I coded all questions correctly for both interviews, as there were multiple questions per interview. I was vocal during the interviews, engaging the interviewer throughout with the thought process I was following. Both interviewers agreed with the results produced during the interviews.

However, after a delay of a few days, I heard from the recruiter that they are not continuing with the interview process anymore, which is totally confusing. This may be because they must have already decided whom to hire and were just fulfilling paper needs, a situation I've heard from other folks who were interviewed at Apple in the past.

This was a total waste of time and effort.

Questions
