SRE Interview Experience - Sunnyvale, California

September 1, 2017
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

I was contacted by a recruiter and had a technical phone screen.

After that, I went onsite for a five-hour, non-stop interview.

I did not receive an offer, despite being qualified for the job.

This experience leads me to believe the issue lies with your interview process, not with me.

I actually rather enjoyed most of the people I met, and I sensed some level of empathy, which is rare in tech interviews. It was also nice that the conversations were one-on-one rather than a group panel style.

However, the overall experience is negative due to its failure to identify me as highly qualified for the job.
