Test Engineer Interview Experience - Cupertino, California

January 1, 2013
Negative ExperienceNo Offer

Process

The recruiter did not vet my background sufficiently to match me to the right position. Nevertheless, I asked the recruiter to set up a phone meeting. The interviewing manager also did not read my resume and asked questions that were clearly answered on it. The interviewer's knowledge about various job functions at Apple was also lacking, which was surprising.

Bottom line, the interviewer (perhaps this particular one) really had no respect for my experience or my past companies. The interviewer seemed to imply that if you haven't worked at Apple, you don't know much, and that I should be thankful they spoke with me.

I hope I am wrong and that this interviewer was an anomaly.

Questions

None, really. The interviewer's assumption was that it was an entry-level position.
