Work-life balance varies depending on season (summers are more lax) and team.
Work is never boring.
Teams are very siloed, so you don't really communicate or work with others outside your immediate fellow engineers. Management style is therefore highly variable between teams. SWE pay is still top of the industry, but lags behind a select few companies.
