Interesting work and very smart people. People are passionate and stay at Apple for a long time.
No documentation. Everything is known by asking someone who has been there for a long time. The secrecy, even within the company, can be a bit stifling.
A recruiter reached out. They didn't provide any nature of the interview and asked me to prepare for every language. I was like, "What?" So, I prepped for DSA and my resume projects. It turns out they asked for system design in the first round.
Had three rounds of interviews. All of them had two interviewers. Interviews are very personal; there was no coding (though you have to explain your solution and engage in a design conversation with the interviewer).
One technical screen and six rounds of technical interviews. The process went very fast. It took about two weeks from the first screen to the last panel interview, and also one interview with the recruiter.
