If you are ambitious and have loads of ideas, Apple is the right place for you. You are given loads of freedom to collaborate in any way that is beneficial to your career and development. They obviously have to align with the interests of the company, but there is so much stuff going on that I find it quite easy to contribute to things that interest me a lot.
The onboarding process is too slow, and there is a lack of proper engineering culture (PR reviews, documentation, design reviews, etc.). It is basically up to the individual contributor to follow high standards, as it isn't the main goal of the company to produce high-quality code and tooling but to deliver value. This approach makes sense, but it can make the developer experience a bit bad at times.
The technical round was taken around the resume and one DSA question. The Merge Interval question was asked, along with some questions from high-level system design related to the resume projects and intern experience.
Two rounds of interview: one DSA and one managerial. For the DSA round, they asked two DSA questions and a few questions on complexity. Mine was on the number of islands. Then they discussed projects and asked a few questions from fundamentals.
