They treat you like robots. You’re not even respected in the team after putting so much work, as contractors aren’t a part of the company. I was made to work from 8 AM to almost 10 PM every day while I was paid for only 40 hours per week. To top it all, I was made to relocate in the middle of the pandemic from the East Coast to the West Coast to WFH. I wasn’t informed about relocating earlier, and two days before joining, I was told if I didn’t relocate, they’d be canceling the contract. Obviously, they did not cover the expenses since it was a contracting position.
The technical round was taken around the resume and one DSA question. The Merge Interval question was asked, along with some questions from high-level system design related to the resume projects and intern experience.
Two rounds of interview: one DSA and one managerial. For the DSA round, they asked two DSA questions and a few questions on complexity. Mine was on the number of islands. Then they discussed projects and asked a few questions from fundamentals.
