Pros

Work on products everyone knows.

Large corp benefits.

Commute alternatives throughout SF Bay Area.

Cons

You basically have to work in Cupertino.

Reluctance for telecommuting options.

You will work many more hours than what you are paid for, 99% guaranteed.

Minimal childcare benefits (e.g., no onsite daycare).

Crammed office buildings – small offices are shared between 2-3 people. Some people get make-shift desks in hallways and lounge areas.

Advice to Management

For the most part, management is making the right calls. Pay is not competitive with the rest of the industry given what is being asked of engineers at Apple. Avoid creating products and features that are just "me too." Apple needs to be better and leap-frog existing products.
