Contractor at Apple is relatively low stress and low expectations. Very slow, slow days but extremely busy, busy days. Lots of time to yourself.
Second-class citizen, highly replaceable, not taken seriously. Everyone is looking for future opportunities.

I had a phone screening as a first interview with someone who seems to be the manager of that position. I don't know how many more interviews they were going to have after that.
