I came to Applied without a traditional tech background, and it’s been the most accelerated growth experience of my career. From day one, I was trusted with high-impact work and surrounded by people who genuinely wanted to help me succeed.
The pace is fast, but it drives rapid growth. I’ve been able to take on real ownership, step into new challenges, and build skills I never expected to gain this early in my career. The intensity can be a lot to manage, but if you can keep up, the company genuinely feels like a rocket ship — accelerating both business success and personal development.
One thing that stands out is the transparency — not just from my direct manager, but all the way up to the leadership team. Goals, priorities, and tough decisions are shared openly, which builds trust and helps everyone stay aligned and focused.
It’s a demanding environment. You’re expected to bring your best every day, which can be intense. Burnout is a real risk and requires active self-regulation. Some parts of the org still feel siloed, and feedback can sometimes be more timely or tactful.
Keep up the transparency and increase retention of high performers through incentives.
1 online tech round. Virtual onsite: 3 tech rounds + 1 hiring manager round. The coding questions are difficult. If you passed, it moved super fast, and you could ask for feedback when being rejected.
The interviewer was very nice and helpful throughout the whole process. The question was hard to implement within 45 minutes, to be honest. Good experience overall, but I didn't get to move forward.
Self-introduction and brief project introduction for 5 minutes, and then coding problems. The thought process was straightforward, but implementation details were hard. I did not make it all correct in the end; it had a sharp, abrupt ending.
