Interviews went really well. The hiring manager and his team were impressed.
Received an offer afterwards, and hours later the offer was retracted.
Probed further, and the only answer I was given was that they could not meet my expectations.
The problem is, if they can't meet them, then why go through all the trouble just to pull such a stunt?
