Pros

If you are a "Yes Boss" kind of guy, then this is the right place for you.

Cons

Yes Boss kind of culture in CSS Group Bangalore only. You can have growth only if you have a "Yes Boss" attitude, a fake and loud smile, and someone to leave/fire whose position you can take, not because of your talent and caliber.

All non-technical guys have become managers because of the "Yes Boss" culture. Their main job is to track when you come and leave, if you log in from home, and until what time you are online in IM just in case someone from the US may ping you. Few people type emails from the office and send them from home late at night just to show that they worked late and are highly appreciated.

More focus on when you come and go, rather than on work. Focus only on visibility, not on work quality. Even worse than the service industry.

Lot of favoritism within the group; whoever flatters their manager, only those will be promoted and have chances for a US visit. Earlier, they used to hire from IIT/NIT; now, only from the respective manager's college.

Only bug-fixing work is being done from India. Good work does not come to Bangalore at all, as most of the good technical people have already left. Company policy is there to allow work from home. If someone is working from home because of some personal or medical reason, they will be asked for reasons and finally receive a lesser hike/bonus, whereas a few of their favorite people have been working from home for a couple of years and are enjoying a good salary.

On paper, they claim about a diverse culture and all. Recently, a few women employees have been fired and harassed or are on the firing list, as their productivity may get impacted after maternity leave.

Advice to Management

Invest in people rather than politics and cost-cutting.
