Good work-life balance.
Very smart and talented people.
Good salary for a company of its stature.
A good company to settle down.
The annual salary hike is better than most companies in its range.
Not an ideal place for a CS grad to start his career, because the work there requires more understanding of the semiconductor manufacturing process than CS knowledge.
On top of that, even the CS work there is mostly maintenance, as the core technical work is done in Santa Clara.
But if you like the domain and are willing to sacrifice your CS dream, then the domain itself is interesting and has a lot of opportunities.
Before recruiting new college grads for a Software Engineer position, make sure that they are really interested in the domain.
