I reached out to the recruiter and was sent a link to a cognitive aptitude test.
I "did very well" and "better than most," but I think all this did was qualify me to speak to someone. It felt like quite a hoop for simple contact.
I spoke with the recruiter for about 20 minutes. They described a junior dev position under the mentorship of a senior engineer (name withheld). I was then scheduled for an online screen via CoderPad with an engineer.
I completed the online screen with an engineer who was nice enough but clearly very disinterested in the process. During that screen, I was informed that there is no such thing as a "junior" position there and that I was interviewing for a spot on another engineer's team (name withheld) for which I was most likely underqualified.
I received no feedback at the conclusion of the interview. The following day, I received a template dismissal email from the recruiter. I was ghosted when I asked for any feedback.
Overall, it was a bizarrely drawn-out and disorganized experience.
