I applied online in August 2015. Heard back a couple weeks later, set a technical phone interview for a few days later.

I wasn't sure what to make of the interviewer. I felt calm and relaxed, as the way the interviewer spoke was very casual. The interview asked me to describe some things on my resume in detail and kept asking odd questions, "I guess I just don't understand, how did you do it?". Later, the interviewer asked me some questions I couldn't answer with great detail and asked me about how to resolve extreme edge cases involving data structures I don't regularly use. The interviewer asked me a few other questions which I had a familiarity with, but when I told the interviewer I wasn't well-versed, they told me to just move on. The interview concluded with about 35 minutes of coding between me and the interviewer. After about the first 5 minutes, the interviewer began interjecting about my code, what I was doing, etc. I felt as if I was being coached through the problem, as an interviewer should do, but it was very brash and I didn't feel I had a chance to do things on my own before suggestions were introduced as to what route I should take, so I ended up with this ball of my half-completed code and lines of their suggested code. It was ugly. It was incredibly hard to concentrate when I'd be working through it, only to have the interviewer say, "Well, what if this happens? Or this?". For me, I wanted to get the code frame-worked before I began tackling edge cases. After the interview concluded, I stayed behind in the joint coding page and finished with a functional version of the problem about 15 minutes later, without the interviewer barking in my ear... figures, right?
