First initial round with HR: He was listless and inaudible, so I had to repeat myself twice. I had to follow up to get my technical screen set up.
I was informed there would be two phone interviews before the onsite.
Algorithmic: This interviewer was really nice. He was helpful and made sure I understood the question. I got the code running, and all the tests passed.
System Design: I was told it was System Design, but it seemed the interviewer did not know what he was interviewing me for. I happened to mention that I had already had a conversation with another team member; he was shocked. This was also at the end of the interview, so I realized he was clueless.
What a waste of my time! If there's no internal communication, I truly wonder how this team works without the basics.
I sent a thank you email the next day because it's a nice thing to do, and one has to see the positive aspects of everything.
I received a heartless, automated rejection. After investing so much time with this company, at least HR could have written one sentence in an email stating it didn't work out. That's definitely a red flag.
