First, the recruiter "forgot" to schedule an interview. Then, after I reached out again, they could not "remember" talking to me.
Eventually, I was scheduled for an interview with a junior engineer. This engineer interviewed me on algorithms and data structures, which are totally irrelevant to the hardware/ASIC-oriented role.
This old-school way of interviewing an experienced candidate, relying solely on competitive-coding skills, is not going to work for them for long.
