Thin management layer, flat hierarchy is the best thing, apart from very knowledgeable co-workers. The new office is great. It creates the mood to work efficiently. Emphasis is on quality rather than deadlines. The quality of projects and work in the Bangalore office is of the same level as that of HQ in Santa Clara, which is appreciable.
There are still a lot more things to improve on regarding facilities and perks. Management is being thrifty. Salary increments are low, along with the fact that the stock options don't have pre-IPO charm. Perks that are common in the industry, like company-sponsored team lunches, food coupons, and reimbursements for internet bills, etc., are not being taken care of.
Great engineering work. HR needs to improve. Please don't act like a spendthrift if you don't want to give reasons to your best, knowledgeable employees to find other options.
