What distinguishes Arista is their focus on quality and on everyone "doing the right thing." This permeates the entire organization, from the executives, sales, and customer support to hardware and software engineering.
As an engineer, it's very rewarding to work at a company which places quality front-and-center, inspiring everyone to do their best and deliver the best products and services to customers.
The engineering team are a very smart bunch of people, and I've found everyone to be very dedicated and always willing to help and support each other.
There is a high level of build/test automation and very little "process" overhead, allowing engineers to focus more energy on developing quality and functionality.
There's quite a wide range of projects and technologies to work on, so there is plenty of interesting and challenging work to do. And of course, it's also nice to know that your work is deployed at some of the biggest "cloud titans" in the world.
The initial learning curve can be quite steep, though Arista does regularly run "prep" courses for new recruits. There is extensive documentation and video materials.
Keep doing what you are doing, and most importantly, strive to hold on to the culture as the organization grows.
