Process

The first stage with a recruiter was straightforward. Then I spoke to the hiring manager, which was a technical interview, and it went pretty well. Then I was to talk with a member of the team.

First of all, I didn't get the password to join the Zoom meeting until about 12 minutes after. Then, when I joined, there was no one on the call. The interviewer finally joined the meeting, and my God, this was one of the worst interviews.

He started asking me questions on networking scenarios. He did not ask me anything related to DevOps or SRE. I answered the network question, and he said I was wrong. After the interview, I went to do some research on the question, and it turned out he was the one who was actually wrong.

I also asked if this role deals very heavily with networking, just to be sure. He said it does not, but he wants whoever gets the job to have a strong networking background.
