Process

Recruiter call followed by a screen interview. The screening interview was mainly a design interview where I was asked to design a famous platform.

Then, an onsite interview, which was quite a mess. The first interview in the onsite was a 3-hour session where they gave me a challenge and left me to solve it.

After that, I did two other interviews which were supposed to be system design interviews, especially because the recruiter mentioned in the prep email that there would be two rounds of system design interviews similar to the screening interview. I was surprised to find them to be LeetCode-heavy interviews.

The first one, I solved the question, but the second one involved an extremely hard question that I needed to solve in 30 minutes. I gave the question to AI afterwards, and the optimized solution generated is 114 lines of code. There's no way you can write that in a 30-minute interview, even if you know the answer.

I'm also not sure why the recruiter misled me and did not just tell me it was a LeetCode interview so I could have been better prepared and not wasted my time and their time.

Questions

I can't share specific questions because of an NDA, but they are typical LeetCode medium and hard questions.
