I was on the fence about Asana initially because of the consistently low stocks, but my hiring manager and future colleagues excitedly talked to me and made me feel welcome throughout the interviewing process, which eventually won me over.
Overall pros:
I was not told during the interviewing process that the entire SF-based mobile team was laid off back in February of this year in favor of redoubling hiring efforts in Warsaw.
Customers are churning to other collaborative work management products like Linear.
Asana is definitely not mobile-first and lacks any in-depth editor support, both in the desktop and mobile apps. There isn't a centralized place to write and store documentation. Internally, we just use Github for technical docs and link Google Docs on Asana tasks, which seems very ad hoc.
Didn't pass the first one. It was a LeetCode-style exam online. It had some easy to medium questions, but I failed finishing the third one.
There was a strong emphasis on system design in the prep material provided. The interview was two design questions and one LeetCode question. Overall, it was fairly challenging and required a bit of studying, so be prepared.
Initially received a CodeSignal online assessment. Afterwards, received a scheduling appointment for a virtual interview. Had a LeetCode medium and a basic SD question. I would prep on string + array questions.
