  • Poorly skilled people are placed in manager roles who are unable to support or develop employees to the next level of their career.

  • Very tight deadlines for projects; extra long hours in offices. Meetings during off-peak hours between multiple sites.

  • Most of the projects are escalated, which means everything was needed yesterday.

  • Toxic team environment at the department level. No teamwork.

  • No communication between managers and team leaders, as well as between departments and sites.

  • Competent leaders are not helpful in answering questions or providing guidance when asked.

Advice to Management

Ask managers and team leaders how the last project was completed and how the team worked together. Hire talented and skilled people; keep hard-working people and invest in your employees.
